Hodeida: The local authority and general mobilization forces in Hodeida Governorate condemned the Saudi aggression targeting civilian infrastructure and vital facilities in the governorate and Kamaran Island, most notably the port of Hodeida.
According to Yemen News Agency, in a joint statement, a copy of which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), the local authority and general mobilization forces considered the aggression against infrastructure and ports a dangerous escalation and an extension of the policy of siege and collective punishment against the Yemeni people. They asserted that it reflects the state of failure the enemy is experiencing on both the military and political fronts.
The statement clarified that the deliberate targeting of civilian and service facilities constitutes a flagrant violation of international laws and conventions, placing the international community, the United Nations, and relevant organizations before their legal and humanitarian responsibilities regarding these violations and their repercussions.
It emphasized that these crimes will not go unanswered, affirming the steadfastness of the deterrence equation established by the armed forces, based on the principle of "an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, and escalation for escalation." The statement asserted that the enemy's escalation will only bring further losses upon the aggressors.
The statement called upon the armed forces to respond directly and decisively to this blatant aggression and the targeting of the enemy's vital interests, emphasizing the general mobilization and heightened readiness among the province's residents, and the strengthening of national unity in support of the armed forces and the defense of the homeland, its sovereignty, and its resources.
