Sana'a: The Ministry of Local Administration, Rural Development, and Local Development has launched a field assessment campaign to evaluate the performance of local authority bodies in Yemen's provinces and districts. This initiative was announced during a meeting led by Deputy Minister Nasser Al-Mahdhar.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Mahdhar detailed that the assessment teams are scheduled to conduct their evaluations over a 20-day period across 15 provinces. The primary aim is to assess the performance of local authorities and their executive offices in various sectors, including administrative, developmental, and service areas.
Al-Mahdhar emphasized that these field visits are integral to the ministry's supervisory and oversight responsibilities. The initiative is designed to bolster continuous monitoring and evaluation, improve institutional efficiency, advance development priorities, and enhance the quality of public services available to citizens.
The deputy minister called on the assessment teams to execute their assignments with professionalism, ensuring objective and realistic evaluations. This approach will enable the ministry to devise suitable measures to enhance administrative performance and progress development and service delivery in the provinces and districts.
