Mahweet: Mahweet undersecretary Mohammed Atiba on Wednesday inspected the progress of the al-Batna-Shaab al-Baqal road project in al-Qadam village, Abs sub-district, al-Khabt district. The project is a community initiative.
According to Yemen News Agency, Atiba, accompanied by the Director of Follow-up, Mohammed al-Jawda, and Head of the Al-Khabt Association, Mohammed Abbas, received a briefing on the project's progress. The 1.5-kilometer road aims to facilitate farmers' access to their agricultural lands and strengthen agricultural value chains in the region.
He emphasized the importance of the project, which represents an addition to the rural road network, facilitating the transport of agricultural products and alleviating the suffering of citizens. He stressed the need for concerted official and community efforts to complete such initiatives.
The head of al-Khabt Association confirmed that the project comes in response to the needs of the people of the region and embodies the spirit of community cooperation in implementing development initiatives. He pointed out that the road will facilitate farmers' access to their lands and the transport of their products to the markets.
