Mahweet University Signs Cooperation Agreement to Enhance Pharmacy Education

Mahweet: Mahweet University signed a cooperation agreement with Al-Alamiah/ Universal Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company and Modern Pharmaceutical Company to enhance the educational process for students of the Faculty of Pharmacy, as part of strengthening partnerships between academic institutions and the pharmaceutical industry.

According to Yemen News Agency, the agreement includes establishing a virtual pharmacy at the university to develop students' practical and clinical skills, providing field training opportunities at pharmaceutical factories, organizing regular field visits to quality control, analysis, manufacturing, and production departments, and launching a long-term cooperation program to coordinate joint academic and training activities.

Following the signing, University President Dr. Mohammed Al-Shalabi and his deputies toured the two factories and reviewed production mechanisms and quality standards. Dr. Al-Shalabi praised the companies' role in supporting the national pharmaceutical industry and affirmed the university's commitment to integrating academic education with industrial application to qualify students in line with labor market needs.

Company officials, in turn, expressed readiness to provide technical and training support and strengthen cooperation to advance pharmaceutical education and build national capacities in this vital sector.
