Raymah: Thousands participated in mass rallies in Raymah governorate on Monday under the slogan: 'Support for the Quran and Al-Aqsa. Solidarity with Lebanon. and Affirming Readiness.'
According to Yemen News Agency, the rallies, held in the provincial center, were attended by Province Undersecretary Hafedh al-Wahidi, Security Director Brig. Hashid al-Habbari, and officials from several districts. Participants carried copies of the Holy Quran and chanted slogans expressing Yemeni popular anger over the burning of the Quran by an American citizen in Michigan.
Protesters described the repeated attacks on the Quran as part of a broader campaign targeting the identity of the Muslim nation and provoking Muslims worldwide. They stressed that such acts cannot be tolerated.
The participants called on Arab and Islamic governments and peoples to organize demonstrations and protest gatherings to defend the Quran and Islamic sanctities and to put an end to these violations.
A statement issued during the rallies affirmed the full mobility and readiness of Rima residents to defend the Quran and support the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples, pledging to make sacrifices in response to any escalations by the U.S. or Israel in the region.
The statement condemned repeated insults to the Quran by Americans and Israelis and ongoing desecration of Al-Aqsa Mosque, declaring that the Yemeni people will not remain silent in the face of continued offenses and Crusader campaigns.
It called on Muslims worldwide to take serious and sincere action in defense of the Quran, including boycott campaigns, mass demonstrations, and opposition to the Zionist project, its anti-Islamic initiatives, and attacks on the Quran, the Prophet, and Islamic holy sites.
The statement warned that the real danger lies in complacency and neglect in confronting aggressive Zionist schemes, and reaffirmed Yemen's religious and moral commitment to support Gaza, liberate Al-Aqsa, protect Palestinian lands, and stand with prisoners held in Israeli prisons.
It expressed solidarity with Hezbollah fighters in Lebanon, praising their strong positions against the temporary Israeli entity. The statement also emphasized readiness for any new escalations by the U.S. and Israel following their failed aggression against Iran in the previous round.
Rallies participants pledged to remain present in the fields of honor and jihad, carrying the banner of Islam, defending the Quran, and following the leadership of Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, while maintaining faith, steadfastness, and moral responsibility.
The statement called on Muslims and Yemeni believers to adhere to the Quran, preserve Islamic identity, remain cautious against soft psychological warfare targeting younger generations, and actively support aid convoys for fighters on the fronts of dignity and sacred jihad.
