Sa'ada: Sa'ada University, in cooperation with the University Student Forum, organized on Thursday a mass rally denouncing the ongoing killings, starvation, and genocide committed by the Zionist entity against the people of Gaza, under the slogan: 'With our Army and People in Support of Gaza and in Confronting the Zionist Aggression and All Conspiracies.'
According to Yemen News Agency, the rally, led by Sa'ada Governor Mohammed Jaber Awad, University President Dr. Abdulrahim Al-Hamran, vice presidents, the secretary-general of the university, deans, faculty, administrators, members of the Student Forum, and university students, echoed slogans of freedom and disavowal.
Participants strongly condemned the silence and inaction of Arab and Islamic states regarding the unprecedented genocide, killings, and starvation facing the Palestinian people in Gaza.
A statement issued at the rally affirmed the readiness of Sa'ada University's faculty, staff, and students to actively stand alongside the armed forces in the fields and arenas to confront Zionist aggression.
The statement further called on the armed forces to continue their strikes against the Zionist enemy with all available means, praising the legendary steadfastness of the Palestinian people in Gaza and their heroic resistance, which it described as offering immortal lessons to the world in resilience, freedom, and dignity.
The statement also urged the free people of the world, particularly academics and university communities, to embody the values of knowledge, uphold noble ethics, and fulfill their scholarly responsibility, stressing that Palestine's plight is a test of science, conscience, and humanity. It called for global student marches rejecting the genocide against the Palestinian people and standing with the oppressed, hungry, and besieged.
Additionally, the statement called on the Yemeni people to remain vigilant and cautious against the enemies' schemes aimed at undermining Yemen's honorable stance in support of Palestine, affirming their readiness to confront all hostile moves and conspiracies.
