Al-hudaydah: The city of Al-Hudaydah witnessed on Wednesday afternoon the Cultural Festival of Wilayah for camels, equestrianism, and folk heritage along the coastline, commemorating the anniversary of Yawm al-Wilayah (Day of Guardianship) and renewing the connection to Imam Ali (peace be upon him).
According to Yemen News Agency, the festival, attended by the Minister of Transport and Public Works, Mohammed Qahim, the Attorney General, Judge Abdul Salam Al-Houthi, the Governor of the province, Abdullah Atifi, the First Deputy Governor Ahmed Al-Bishri, and the province’s deputies Mohammed Halisi, Ali Qashr, and Ali Kabari, was distinguished by an official and popular presence. It included horse racing, camel racing, and camel jumping, with wide participation from horse breeders, camel owners, and horsemen from various districts of the province.
The races featured folk performances, dances, and chants by choral and folk art groups, embodying the status of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and recalling the meanings of justice, courage, and sacrifice he represented in his life.
At the festival, which also included honoring the participants, Deputy Governor Al-Bishri considered the magnificent popular turnout as a living embodiment of the fruits of sincere allegiance to God, His Messenger, Imam Ali, and the banners of guidance – the path capable of taking the nation from a state of confusion and fragmentation to horizons of dignity and empowerment, and protecting it from infiltration and subservience to the forces of global tyranny led by “America and Israel.”
He explained that the Quranic March project, whose foundations were laid by the martyred leader Sayyed Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi, restored the nation’s true compass by reconnecting it to the principle of divine guardianship (wilayah), drawing from the biography of the successor to the Messenger of God the meanings of sacrifice, redemption, and conscious action with the Quran in confronting the arrogant and thwarting their conspiracies.
Al-Bishri pointed out that the honorable Yemeni stance in supporting the nation’s causes and backing the oppressed Palestinian people is the positive and practical fruit of sincere allegiance, noting that the wise leadership has embodied the principle of wilayah in current reality as a creed and behavior, manifested in taking bold sovereign and military decisions to strike the depths of the Zionist enemy entity.
He called on the people of Tihama to draw mobilizational lessons from this anniversary to consolidate the values and principles of Imam Ali and to move on the paths of construction, development, and sacred jihad until the complete victory of the Islamic nation is achieved, noting that the annual commemoration of Yawm al-Wilayah serves as a mobilizational station to raise readiness, revive resolve, and stock up on stances of courage, audacity, and steadfastness derived from the school of Al-Karrar (peace be upon him).
The First Deputy Governor affirmed that the exceptional stance taken by the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, in confronting the alliance of evil, proves to the entire world that this leadership embodies the courage and path of Imam Ali, as courage manifested in the wise leadership of the armed forces in striking enemy warships, destroyers, and naval vessels to protect Islamic sanctities and support Gaza.
He explained that the fruits of allegiance are clearly seen in the spirit of giving, sacrifice, and the widespread enthusiasm of all the province’s residents to join open military courses and mobilizational activities, and to develop military and naval capabilities that have become a solid rock against which all the enemies’ conspiracies aimed at subjugating the Yemeni people are shattered.
Al-Bishri praised the cohesion and high readiness demonstrated by the fisheries, maritime, tribal sectors, and mobilization units in Al-Hudaydah during the carnival procession, considering this interaction as a clear message to the forces of arrogance that Yemen’s territorial waters are guarded by the faith and vigilance of its men, who are connected to the path of divine guardianship (wilayah) that does not accept defeat or submission.
