Al-Dhale': The distribution of tillage equipment to farmers in development associations across the districts of Damt, Juban, Qa'taba, and Al-Hasha was launched on Tuesday in Al-Dhale' province. This initiative was supported by the Agricultural Financing Unit and the local authority.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Acting Governor, Abdul Latif Al-Shaghdari, explained during the inauguration that the agricultural sectors had been equipped with a shovel and an excavator. Additionally, four tillage machines were delivered to the targeted associations to support farmers. This move aims to enhance the role of these associations within plans that focus on agriculture and strive to achieve sustainable food security.
The event was attended by the Assistant Commander of the Fourth Military Region, Brigadier General Saleh Hajib. Al-Shaghdari commended the efforts of the associations in developing the agricultural sector and increasing awareness of its importance through land reclamation and cultivation, especially with the upcoming farming season.
He emphasized the need for farmers to concentrate on cultivating and reclaiming agricultural land to help achieve self-sufficiency and reduce reliance on imported products.
