Al-mahwit: Eight large public rallies were held in Al-Mahwit Governorate to mark on Friday International Quds Day and to reaffirm the Yemeni people's steadfast support for the Palestinian cause. Participants in the rallies-held in the governorate center for residents of the city and Jabal Al-Mahwit, as well as in the districts of Al-Rajm, Shibam Kawkaban, Al-Tawila, Al-Khabt, Hafash, Melhan, and Bani Saad-raised the flags of Yemen, Palestine, and Iran, along with banners and slogans emphasizing the choice of resistance and disavowal of the enemies of the nation.
According to Yemen News Agency, the crowds chanted slogans condemning the international silence regarding the brutal crimes committed by the Israeli enemy against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the occupied territories. Participants also denounced repeated assaults on Islamic holy sites, foremost among them Al-Aqsa Mosque, stressing that such violations provoke the feelings of Muslims around the world.
They praised the positions of the Axis of Resistance-particularly the Islamic Republic of Iran-for supporting the Palestinian cause in confronting the Israeli enemy, affirming the continuation of both popular and official efforts to support the Palestinian people and their resistance until the aggression ends, the blockade is lifted, and the Palestinian people obtain their legitimate rights.
Residents of Al-Mahwit strongly condemned the continued silence of Arab and Islamic regimes regarding the crimes and violations committed against the people of Gaza, as well as the repeated attacks targeting the Islamic Republic of Iran and Lebanon, describing them as blatant violations of international norms and conventions. They also declared their full readiness to support all options adopted by the revolutionary and political leadership in confronting the Israeli and American enemies.
A statement issued by the rallies said the occasion comes this year at a sensitive and exceptional stage in the history of the struggle against what it described as global Zionism, with its arms represented by the United States, Israel, their Western allies, and regional tools. The statement noted that the event coincides with what it described as a brutal US-Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran, which it said targets the entire Islamic nation as part of the so-called 'Greater Israel' project threatening the region, in addition to the continued crimes in Gaza and the West Bank, violations at Al-Aqsa Mosque, attacks on Lebanon, and incursions into Syria.
It added that the occasion also coincides with what it described as the steadfastness and retaliatory strikes against the enemy carried out by fighters of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the Iranian army, Hezbollah, and armed factions in Iraq. The statement said that commemorating International Quds Day is part of a broader struggle aimed at seeking God's pleasure and drawing closer to Him during these blessed days, stressing that the day has been marked annually with distinction as a sign of adherence to the path of truth, the Qur'an, and resistance.
The statement reaffirmed commitment to continuing the struggle in the path of Allah and raising the banner of Islam, stressing that Yemen will not abandon Al-Aqsa Mosque, Palestine, its oppressed people, or the oppressed worldwide. It emphasized that the Yemeni people will not retreat from confronting their enemies across all fields of struggle until oppression is removed and justice prevails.
The statement also reiterated Yemen's full solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran-its leadership, people, army, and Revolutionary Guard-expressing pride in their steadfastness and strikes against their enemies. It further affirmed the same position toward Lebanon and Hezbollah, praising their resilience in confronting the Israeli enemy, as well as support for armed factions in Iraq confronting U.S. forces.
The statement renewed its call for the peoples of the Muslim nation to commemorate International Quds Day, assume their responsibilities, and return to the Qur'an as a practical project that defines the enemy and the path to victory. It also urged reflection on current developments as evidence of the urgent need to return to the Qur'an, stating that other proposed solutions have proven unsuccessful.
