Capital secretariat: Mawlid celebrations held in Shu'oub District
Community gatherings and activities continued in Shu'oub District of the Capital Secretariat on Monday to mark the anniversary of the Prophet Mohammed's birth, with wide participation. Residents organized cultural and speech events in several neighborhoods, along with seminars at local mosques and other community activities.
According to Yemen News Agency, speakers highlighted the importance of commemorating the occasion as an expression of love and devotion to Allah and His Messenger. They called for broad participation in upcoming celebrations, culminating in the main event on 12 Rabi' al-Awwal at Al-Sabeen Square.
The gatherings featured religious chants, poetry, and awareness-raising performances. Educational activities were also held in public and private schools, alongside community meetings and cleaning campaigns as part of preparations for the Mawlid anniversary.
