Sanaa: The School Book Printing Corporation today launched a football tournament for the 1448 AH Mawlid Cup, featuring four teams made up of the corporation's employees and affiliates: Al-Sammad, Al-Ghamari, Al-Malisi, and Al-Madani. The tournament is being played on a round-robin basis, with the team earning the most points crowned champion.
According to Yemen News Agency, Executive Director Ibrahim Al-Sharafi stressed the importance of cultural and sporting activities to mark the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad, noting Yemenis' strong connection to the Prophet and commitment to his teachings.
In the opening match at Al-Walaa Stadium in Al-Jaraf, Al-Ghamari defeated Al-Sammad 4-3, while Al-Madani and Al-Malisi drew 3-3.
