Hajjah: The media sector in Hajjah governorate organized a protest on Monday condemning the Zionist enemy's crimes against journalists and citizens in the capital Sana'a and Jawf governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, the protest, led by Deputy Governor for Media Affairs Adel Shali, described the targeting of civilian facilities and the headquarters of the 26 September and al-Yaman newspapers as a full-fledged war crime. A statement issued during the protest strongly denounced the direct targeting of media institutions and civilians, describing it as a continuation of Zionist arrogance and criminality, as well as a flagrant violation of international laws and conventions that prohibit attacks on journalists.
The statement held the United Nations and the international community accountable for the enemy's persistent crimes, urging action to stop the violations and bring the perpetrators to justice. It reiterated Yemen's steadfast position in support of the Palestinian people in Gaza, who are enduring genocide and starvation at the hands of the Zionist entity.
The protest further stressed that the targeting of journalists represents a desperate attempt to silence the free voice exposing crimes in Gaza and Yemen. It affirmed that the media sector will continue to carry the message of the martyred journalists who sacrificed their lives to defend truth and national causes. Finally, the statement called on Arab and international media unions, as well as free voices worldwide, to condemn these crimes and stand in solidarity with Yemeni and Palestinian journalists facing systematic targeting.
