Sana'a: A meeting held on Wednesday at Al-Sabeen Hospital for Women and Children in Sana'a discussed measures to enhance healthcare services for persons with disabilities. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Assistant Undersecretary at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, Abdul-Salam Al-Nawab.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting reviewed efforts by the ministry and the Fund for the Care and Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities to improve healthcare services in coordination with the Ministry of Health and Environment and government hospitals. Al-Nawab explained the mechanism for providing healthcare and support services through contracted government hospitals in cooperation with the disability care fund.
Hospital Director Dr. Majida Al-Khatib highlighted the services provided by the Specialized Pediatric Surgery Center at Al-Sabeen Hospital, particularly for children with disabilities. Following the meeting, the participants visited the center to review its facilities and the services it provides to children, especially those with disabilities.
