Sana'a: The Sports Injuries Course (Level 2), organized by the Power Academy for Martial Arts and Sports Sciences in cooperation with the Faculty of Physical Education at Sana'a University and under the supervision of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, concluded today in Sana'a.
According to Yemen News Agency, the course is part of the Power Academy's ongoing efforts to prepare for the third and final level of the Sports Injuries Program. This initiative aims to enhance the scientific and professional qualifications of sports personnel. Spanning five days, the course took place at the Olympic Center hall and was designed to provide 37 participants, including coaches, referees, players from various sports and martial arts, as well as doctors and physiotherapy specialists from national football teams, with advanced skills and knowledge in motor rehabilitation and upper limb injury rehabilitation program development.
The curriculum included comprehensive scientific and practical content that covered the functional anatomy of the upper limb, such as bones, joints, and muscles, as well as biomechanics and functional movements of the shoulder, elbow, and wrist joints. Participants were also trained in the stages and exercises necessary for designing cognitive rehabilitation programs and the criteria for safely returning to sports activities.
A team of academics and specialists, including Dr. Ibrahim Al-Sharafi, Dr. Mohammed Al-Khawlani, Dr. Noha Al-Durrah, and Dr. Issa Muqbil, provided expert lectures in these areas. The course concluded with a ceremony attended by several notable figures, including the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports for the Sports Sector, Ali Hadhban, the Director of the Youth and Sports Office in the Capital Secretariat, Abdullah Obaid, the Director of Academies and Centers at the Ministry, Samir Badi, and the President of the General Union of Wushu and Kung Fu. Participants who successfully completed the training were honored with certificates of recognition.
