Sana'a: Celebratory activities marking the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad's birth continued on Tuesday in Shu'ub District of the capital Sana'a, with broad official and community participation. According to Yemen News Agency, a central evening event was held by residents of Al-Mazra'a neighborhood in Al-Siyah District, attended by Sana'a Governorate First Deputy Governor Hamid Asim, Sana'a Municipality Social Affairs Committee Chairman Hamoud Al-Naqeeb, and district mobilization official Abdullah Al-Kawl. Al-Naqeeb highlighted aspects of the Prophet's life and the values of justice, equality, brotherhood, dignity, compassion, and humanity embodied in his message. He stated that the occasion provides an opportunity to reflect on the Prophet's life and emulate his patience, steadfastness, and sense of responsibility. Residents of several other neighborhoods also held commemorative evenings, while cultural seminars were organized at local mosques and student activities were held at a number of public and private schools. Participants reaffirmed their commitment to following the Prophet's teachings and emulating his conduct in word and deed. Meanwhile, the Shu'ub Education District organized a scouting parade for students from Omar Al-Mukhtar, November 30, and Qutayba bin Muslim schools. Participants chanted slogans and songs expressing their joy at the occasion and reaffirmed their adherence to the Prophet's teachings and values. The celebrations also included an expanded meeting to discuss health-sector preparations for the occasion. The meeting reviewed a plan to provide free medical consultations and discounts of up to 30 percent on treatment services as part of efforts to promote solidarity and compassion.
