Meeting Focuses on Implementation of Ramadan Program and Charitable Activities in Al-Thawra District

Sanaa: An extensive meeting was held on Sunday at the Ministry of Local Administration and Development with the Executive Office of Al-Thawra District in the Capital Secretariat to discuss aspects related to the follow-up on the implementation of the Ramadan program and charitable activities.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was attended by the Director of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Local Administration and Rural Development, Jamal Al-Alawi, the Director of Al-Thawra District, Aqeel Al-Saqqaf, several heads of executive offices, neighborhood monitors, and relevant ministry officials. The discussions addressed the importance of field visits to check on the conditions of the poor and needy, promoting values of cooperation and social solidarity across all segments of society.

The meeting emphasized encouraging the community to make the most of the holy month, intensifying acts of charity and kindness, checking on those in need, listening to community concerns, and addressing them collectively. It also highlighted the importance of enhancing cultural activities in districts, neighborhoods, and local communities, with a particular focus on activating and implementing the Ramadan program, especially in mosques.

Attention was also drawn to the need to prepare and maintain mosques and encourage everyone to attend Ramadan programs, whether in mosques, gatherings, or other communal events.

The meeting further stressed motivating all segments of society to participate in Ramadan-related activities, events, annual occasions, and to continue efforts for public mobilization, including engagement with the "Nawat Al-Tamr" (Date Core) initiative, to ensure the achievement of agricultural development and self-sufficiency.
