Sana'a: The Ministry of Finance launched its Ramadan program and charitable activities for 1447 AH on Sunday, involving a comprehensive meeting with Deputy Minister of Finance Nasser Al-Hamdani, ministry leaders, and the central operations room. The gathering was focused on bolstering social solidarity within the Al-Safiya District community in the capital.
According to Yemen News Agency, several key areas were highlighted during the meeting, including directives and initiatives planned for implementation during the holy month. The meeting underscored the importance of conducting field visits to communities, enhancing charitable efforts, and evaluating the conditions of the impoverished to ease their difficulties.
Additionally, the meeting discussed organizing a broad meeting that includes various societal segments, such as scholars, academics, and social and cultural figures, aiming to strengthen communication and address local community issues in the district.
The significance of reviving the Ramadan program was also a focal point, with a call for citizens to participate in events at mosques, community centers, or Ramadan gatherings. Families were encouraged to enroll their children in summer programs during the upcoming period.
Furthermore, the meeting delved into the cultural and religious aspects associated with the holy month, promoting active participation in commemorating significant events like the martyrdom of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), the Battle of Badr, and International Quds Day. High-quality cultural activities were also planned within the district.
The "Date Seed" agricultural initiative, aimed at boosting local production, was reviewed, emphasizing public mobilization and readiness for any eventuality. A special operations and follow-up committee was approved to supervise and periodically evaluate the implementation of all activities, ensuring the achievement of objectives during Ramadan.
