Meeting in Capital Secretariat Launches Activities Marking Imam Hussein’s Martyrdom Anniversary

Sanaa: The mobilization committee in the Capital Secretariat organized a pivotal meeting on Thursday for scholars, preachers, and social and educational figures, initiating the activities and events marking the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) under the slogan: 'Far from us is humiliation.'

According to Yemen News Agency, Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council, Dhaifullah Rassam, emphasized the significance of drawing lessons from Imam Hussein's stance and sacrifices in reforming the nation and guiding it back to the path of truth. He highlighted Imam Hussein's enduring role as a leader and source of inspiration for confronting adversaries, including Jews and Christians.

Deputy Head of the General Authority for Endowments and Guidance, Dr. Fouad Naji, spoke about Imam Hussein's virtues and his steadfastness in confronting injustice. He stressed that Imam Hussein's approach against tyranny is relevant today in resisting colonialism and domination.

First Undersecretary of the Capital Secretariat, Khaled Al-Madani, remarked on the tragedy of Karbala as a consequence of the nation's deviation from truth. He called for resilience in facing aggression and strengthening national unity. Al-Madani highlighted Imam Hussein's defense of truth and the importance of commemorating his martyrdom as emblematic of Yemeni steadfastness.

Dr. Taha Al-Mutawakkil, a member of the Political Bureau of Ansar Allah, discussed the Islamic nation's deviation due to distancing from the Messenger of Allah and his family. He noted the significance of commemorating the tragedy of Karbala as a demonstration of loyalty to Allah and the guiding leaders.

Dr. Qais Al-Tal, Director of the Guidance Sector in the Capital Secretariat, reviewed the directives for marking Ashura and Imam Hussein's martyrdom. He emphasized the importance of understanding the injustice suffered by Imam Hussein and upholding the values of his revolution with resilience and determination.
