Sana'a: Sana'a University concluded its 37th Scientific Conference, which focused on discussing the graduation research of the 37th graduating class of doctors from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. The six-day conference discussed 56 scientific research papers presented by 740 students from the 37th graduating class of the Faculty of Medicine.
According to Yemen News Agency, the research was supervised by a group of consultants, academics, and senior physicians from the Faculty of Medicine. It covered various health fields and issues, including therapeutic, preventative, and chronic diseases. The conference ended with recommendations and conclusions aimed at addressing these challenges.
At the closing ceremony, Dr. Mohammed al-Shahari, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Sana'a University, stated that the 37th graduating class had proven themselves academically distinguished. They showed a high capacity for adapting to challenges and pursued their studies with responsibility and determination. He highlighted that the diversity of research is the result of continuous efforts by students under the guidance of their professors.
Dr. al-Shahari emphasized that scientific research is not just a graduation requirement but the foundation of medical advancement and a crucial tool for building modern healthcare systems. He assured that the College of Medicine will continue to support its students and researchers, fostering a culture of research, innovation, and creativity.
Speeches were delivered by Dr. Adel Al-Emad, Dr. Reem Al-Yousifi, and Dr. Mohammed Bazdan, affirming that the graduates have moved from a foundational stage to a constructive stage. They urged the graduates to continue their academic pursuits, adhere to ethical values, and fulfill their humanitarian mission. They stressed the need to link academic and research outputs to national strategies and societal needs.
Dr. Ahmed al-Mansour and Asim al-Salahi expressed gratitude to faculty members for equipping students with knowledge and skills. They commended the efforts of everyone involved in the success of the 37th Scientific Conference, which focused on the graduation research projects of the 37th graduating class from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.
At the conclusion of the conference, certificates and plaques were awarded to the Department of Community Medicine, the Preparatory Committee, members of the University Student Forum, and conference participants.
