Ibb: An expanded meeting of residents from the Al-Shaer, Ba'dan, and Al-Sabrah districts in the Ibb Governorate took place on Wednesday to discuss preparations for the central event commemorating the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad's birth (Mawlid) for 1448 AH.
According to Yemen News Agency, the gathering was attended by notable figures, including Minister of Education and Scientific Research Hassan Al-Saadi, Ibb Governor Abdulwahid Salah, and other prominent officials such as Dr. Ali Al-Zanam from the House of Representatives and Zayed Al-Riyami from the Shura Council. The meeting involved discussions on coordinating efforts among various official and community components to mobilize for the central event scheduled for 12 Rabi' al-Awwal.
The meeting brought together local authorities, mobilization leaders, tribal sheikhs, and social figures to discuss the planned programs and activities. The emphasis was placed on ensuring an event that reflects the significance of the religious occasion. The Minister of Education highlighted the spiritual, cultural, and educational importance of the event, encouraging the community to draw inspiration from the Prophet's values, such as compassion and solidarity.
Ibb Governor Abdulwahid Salah expressed commitment to organizing the event in a manner befitting the Prophet's status and praised the community and tribal engagement in the preparations. He emphasized the importance of promoting cooperation, solidarity, and community service while maintaining security and stability.
The meeting underscored the need for enhanced coordination among official, community, and tribal bodies to ensure the event's success. Mobilization Official Abdul-Fattah Ghallab called for a clear distribution of roles and responsibilities, highlighting the residents' readiness to actively participate in the celebrations.
Dr. Rashid Abu Lahoum pointed out the opportunity presented by the Mawlid occasion to raise awareness of the Prophet's principles and link the commemoration with community service. The participants concluded by affirming their commitment to strengthening community cohesion and translating the values of the occasion into practice through cooperation and service.
