Meeting in Sana’a Discusses Situation of Sponge and Plastic Factories

Sana’a: A meeting held in Sana’a, chaired by the Acting Minister of Economy, Industry, and Investment, Sam Al-Bashiri, discussed the conditions of sponge and plastic factories. During the meeting, which was attended by the Chairman of the Board of the Industrial Commercial Chamber in the Capital Secretariat, Ali Al-Hadi, owners and representatives of sponge and plastic factories reviewed the challenges they face, appreciating the localization decision made by the Ministries of Economy, Industry, Investment, and Finance.



According to Yemen News Agency, the Acting Minister of Economy affirmed the commitment to provide support for local industries, facilitate solutions to their difficulties, and work to protect local products. He pointed out the keenness to ensure that manufacturers obtain all the incentives, privileges, and guarantees provided by the Investment Law of 2025.



Al-Bashiri expressed the readiness of the Ministry, the General Investment Authority, and the Yemeni Authority for Specifications, Standards, and Quality Control to provide consultations and technical support to local manufacturers to comply with quality standards, which would contribute to meeting the needs of the local market with products of appropriate quality and price.
