Hajjah: The Zakat and Guidance Office and the Scholars and Learners Unit in Hajjah Governorate organized an expanded meeting for scholars, preachers, and educators to reject the desecration of the Holy Quran, affirm their religious responsibility to defend the Quran and sanctities, and prepare for the month of faith-based identity.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting emphasized the role of scholars in practically embodying the teachings of the Quran, strengthening connection to it, and confronting what was described as American-Zionist abuse of sanctities, while criticizing the silence of the nation's scholars and Islamic organizations. Participants linked defending the Quran with supporting the Palestinian cause, protecting the domestic front, and confronting "soft warfare".
The meeting's statement condemned the desecration of the Quran, considering it a crime and aggression against Islam, and called for breaking the silence, boycotting American and Israeli goods, pressuring to sever relations with offending parties, and criminalizing the insult of sanctities under the cover of freedom of expression. It also declared standing with Palestinian resistance, raising readiness, and continuing mobilization activities.
