‘Men Who Were True’ Art Exhibition Opens to Honor Fallen Martyrs

Sana'a:Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Abdullah Al-Washali inaugurated the 'Men Who Were True' art exhibition on Wednesday, showcasing portraits of prominent martyrs as part of the activities marking the 1448 AH Annual Martyr's Anniversary.

According to Yemen News Agency, the exhibition, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, features artworks by visual artists depicting martyred leaders from Yemen and the Axis of Resistance. In addition to the portraits, the exhibition includes 100 sculptural installations that reflect the realities of conflict and the sacrifices of the martyrs. These installations highlight the strategic equation of 'a siege for a siege, and an airport for an airport,' as well as illustrating the destruction caused by the Saudi-led aggression on infrastructure and civilian facilities.

During the opening, Al-Washali praised the sacrifices and valor of the martyrs, emphasizing their heroic role in confronting enemies and achieving significant victories on various fronts. He underscored the importance of commemorating the Annual Martyr's Anniversary as an opportunity to express gratitude and to highlight the heroism, courage, and sacrifices of those who gave their lives to uphold truth and safeguard the nation's dignity.

Al-Washali also highlighted the importance of drawing lessons from the martyrs' lives, particularly their spirit of selflessness and generosity. He noted that the martyrs serve as role models whose path should be followed by continuing their struggle against the forces of arrogance and invaders until decisive victory is achieved. Furthermore, he explained that one of the greatest outcomes of the martyrs' sacrifices is the instillation of a deep-rooted spirit of self-sacrifice and jihad in future generations, along with a commitment to the Quranic path. Al-Washali reaffirmed his pledge to uphold the values and principles for which the martyrs gave their lives.
