Sana'a: The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has predicted rainfall in the mountainous highlands and rough seas south of the western coast and the Bab al-Mandab Strait within the next 24 hours.
According to Yemen News Agency, the weather bulletin issued by the center indicates scattered rain, sometimes accompanied by thunder, is expected in parts of the governorates of Amran, Sana'a, Dhamar, and Ibb.
Light to moderate rain is anticipated in parts of the governorates of Hajjah, Mahweet, Raymah, Bayda, Taiz, and the highlands of Hodeida, Lahj, and Abyan. The center has also forecasted rough seas and high waves south of the western coast and the Bab al-Mandab Strait.
The center has issued warnings to citizens in the mountainous highlands about the risk of flash floods in ravines and valleys, advising against being in or attempting to cross them during and after rainfall. Drivers have been cautioned of reduced visibility on roads and mountain slopes due to low cloud cover, fog, and rainfall.
Additionally, the center has warned seafarers and fishermen of rough seas and high waves south of the western coast and the Bab al-Mandab Strait.
