Sana'a: The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has issued a forecast indicating the likelihood of scattered thunderstorms across the mountainous highlands, regions of the Tihama Plain, southern coastal areas, and the Socotra Archipelago within the next 24 hours.
According to Yemen News Agency, the center's weather bulletin suggests that conditions will range from clear to partly cloudy, with a possibility of scattered rainfall accompanied by thunder in parts of the governorates of Hajjah, Mahweet, Amran, Raymah, Ibb, Taiz, western Dhamar, and the highlands of Lahj and Abyan. Additionally, mist or fog could form in some mountainous areas.
Along the coastal areas, the weather is forecasted to be generally clear to partly cloudy, with chances of scattered rain and occasional thunderstorms, especially over parts of the Tihama Plain, southern coastal regions, and Socotra. Winds in these areas are expected to be light to moderate.
In the desert regions, conditions are projected to remain clear and hot, with maximum temperatures anticipated to range between 35°C and 42°C. Moderate winds might intensify at times, potentially leading to dust and sandstorms.
The center has advised residents against entering or crossing valleys and flood channels during or after rainfall. It also recommended that individuals in desert and coastal areas take necessary precautions against the hot weather.
