Sana'a: The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has predicted a spell of cold to very cold weather conditions across the highlands and several governorates, accompanied by light to moderate rainfall over the next 24 hours.

According to Yemen News Agency, the weather bulletin issued by the Center indicates that nighttime and early morning temperatures are expected to drop significantly in the governorates of Saada, Amran, Sana'a, Dhamar, Al-Bayda, western Al-Jawf, and Ma'rib, with the possibility of frost forming in select areas.

In addition, the highlands of Hadramout, Shabwa, Al-Dhalea, Lahj, Abyan, Ibb, Taiz, Raymah, and Al-Mahwit are anticipated to experience cold weather conditions. The forecast also includes expectations of light to moderate rainfall in the governorates of Ibb, Raymah, Al-Mahwit, and Hajjah, as well as parts of the Tihama plain, the eastern and southern coasts, and the Socotra archipelago.

The Center has issued warnings to residents, particularly the elderly, children, and those working outdoors during the evening and morning, to be cautious of the cold temperatures in the mentioned areas. Farmers in mountainous regions are advised to take measures to protect their crops, while visitors to these cold areas should take precautions to avoid cold-related health issues.

Additionally, the Center has alerted citizens about the potential for thunderstorms during rainfall and cautioned about reduced visibility due to dense low clouds affecting roads and mountain slopes.
