Sana'a: Jawf governorate Tenders Committee, in its meeting on Monday chaired by the Secretary-General of the Local Council, Ali Hamid, opened the bids for the second phase of the project to purchase and supply agricultural equipment and machinery for wheat harvesting. The opening of the bids is part of the first phase of the agricultural expansion project in Jawf governorate, funded locally.
According to Yemen News Agency, the committee referred the submitted bids to the Technical Analysis Committee for review and evaluation according to the terms and conditions stipulated in the tender documents. At the meeting, the Secretary-General of Jawf Local Council emphasized adherence to the terms and specifications outlined in the tender documents and the submission of the results to a committee to finalize contracting and supply procedures in accordance with the law.
He explained that the project is a direct result of the directives of the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and his commitment to agricultural development and achieving self-sufficiency. He noted the project's role in expanding wheat cultivation in Al-Jawf Governorate, which will contribute to reducing production costs and encouraging farmers.
Hamid called on business leaders and the private sector to establish investment projects in Jawf, particularly in the grain sector, affirming the local authority's commitment to supporting and providing the necessary facilities for investment projects that will develop the agricultural sector in the governorate.
