Sana'a: The Ektefa Foundation for Relief and Development, in partnership with the Yemeni Red Crescent Society's Hajjah branch, on Tuesday launched a free medical camp to treat chronic diseases, coinciding with celebrations marking the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad's birth. The three-day camp targets patients suffering from chronic heart disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes, providing necessary medical examinations, free medications, and specialized medical consultations.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the launch, Deputy Governor Mohammed Al-Qaisi, Central District Director Mahyoob Suraa, and Deputy Director of the Hajjah Health Office Dr. Khaled Al-Nazari reviewed attendance at the camp and the medical services being provided to citizens. They were briefed by Dr. Ahmed Nassar, head of the Yemeni Red Crescent Society's branch in the province, and Saddam Al-Houri, head of the Ektefa Foundation for Relief and Development, on the camp's operating mechanism and the main services it will provide to patients.
Al-Qaisi, Suraa, and Al-Nazari praised the efforts of the Ektefa Foundation and the Red Crescent Society in organizing such medical camps, which help alleviate patients' suffering, particularly amid the current circumstances facing the country. The head of the Ektefa Foundation for Relief and Development said the camp is part of the foundation's plans and programs aimed at providing free medical services to citizens and easing their suffering, praising the Yemeni Red Crescent Society's cooperation and partnership in this area.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Nassar, head of the Yemeni Red Crescent Society's branch in Hajjah, affirmed the society's commitment to participating in free medical camps to alleviate the suffering of residents of the governorate living with chronic diseases and provide them with the necessary healthcare.
