Sana'a: The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has predicted scattered thunderstorms of varying intensities across several governorates over the next 24 hours.
According to Yemen News Agency, the weather bulletin from the center indicates that thunderstorms are anticipated to affect the governorates of Saada, Amran, Hajjah, Al Mahwit, Sana'a, Dhamar, Raymah, Ibb, Taiz, and Al Dhale. Additionally, there is a possibility of scattered rains accompanied by thunder in areas such as Al Bayda, Al Jawf, Marib, Aden, Al Hudaydah, Hadramout, Al Mahrah, and the highlands of Lahj and Abyan.
The center has issued warnings regarding potential flash floods in ravines and valleys, advising citizens to avoid these areas during and after rainfall. It also cautioned against the risks associated with thunderstorms, urging people to stay clear of trees, elevated areas, and electricity poles. Furthermore, the center highlighted the dangers of rockfalls, mudslides, and reduced horizontal visibility on mountainous slopes due to rainfall and fog formation.
