Sana'a: The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has forecasted thundery rainfall of varying intensity and scattered rainfall over parts of several governorates, along with hot to extremely hot weather in deserts, inland plateaus, plains, and coastal areas during the next 24 hours. According to Yemen News Agency, the center stated in its weather bulletin that thundery rainfall of varying intensity, which may be accompanied by hail, is likely to fall over parts of the governorates of Taiz, Ibb, Dhamar, Raymah, Al Mahwit, and Hajjah, as well as parts of the Tihama Plain. The forecast also indicates that scattered rainfall, sometimes accompanied by thunder, may occur over parts of Amran, the highlands of Lahj and Abyan, western Sana'a and Saada, and parts of the coasts of Al Mahrah and Hadramout, and south of Bab al-Mandab. The weather conditions are expected to remain hot to extremely hot in deserts, inland plateaus, plains, and coastal areas. The center has issued warnings to citizens about pote ntial flash floods in valleys and watercourses and advised against being present in or crossing their paths during and after rainfall, due to the dangers posed by thundery rainfall. In addition, the center has cautioned residents about the hot and extremely hot conditions in these areas and advised increasing fluid intake and avoiding direct exposure to sunlight during midday hours.
