Meteorology Issues Thunderstorm and Heat Advisory for Multiple Regions

Sana'a: The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has forecasted a combination of thunderstorms, varying in intensity, alongside scattered rainfall and elevated temperatures over the coming 24 hours. According to Yemen News Agency, the weather bulletin from the center predicts thunderstorms across several regions, including the governorates of Taiz, Ibb, Al-Dhalea, Dhamar, Raymah, Al-Mahwit, Hajjah, western Saada, and the highlands of Lahj, Abyan, and Shabwah. Additionally, scattered rainfall is anticipated in limited parts of Amran and Sana'a, as well as the Tihama Plain. The forecast also highlights the expectation of hot to very hot weather conditions in parts of the deserts, inland plateaus, plains, and coastal areas, with temperature readings projected to range between 37 and 46 degrees Celsius. The center has issued warnings to citizens regarding the risk of flash floods in ravines and valleys, advising against being present in or crossing these areas during and after rainfall. There is al so a caution against the dangers posed by thunderstorms. Furthermore, due to the anticipated heat, residents in the affected areas are advised to increase fluid intake and avoid direct sunlight, particularly during noon and afternoon hours.
