Sana'a: The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has forecasted hot to extremely hot weather across various regions, including the inland plateaus, deserts, plains, and coastal areas, with rainfall expected over parts of the mountainous highlands in the next 24 hours.
According to Yemen News Agency, the center's weather bulletin indicates that the inland plateaus will experience hot conditions, while the deserts and plains will face extremely hot weather. Coastal areas are predicted to have hot and humid conditions. Thunderstorms may occur in the provinces of Taiz, Ibb, and Raymah, with scattered rain anticipated in Hajjah, Al Mahwit, Dhamar, Al Dhalea, the highlands of Lahj, and the Tihama Plain.
The center has issued warnings to citizens in the inland plateaus and coastal areas about the hot weather and high humidity, and in the deserts and plains about the extremely hot conditions. It is advised to avoid direct exposure to sunlight between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. and to increase fluid intake.
Furthermore, the center cautioned residents in mountainous regions expecting rainfall about the potential for flash floods in valleys and watercourses. Citizens are advised against being present in or crossing these areas during and after rainfall.
