Meteorology Predicts Cold Weather and Scattered Rain in Highlands and Coastal Areas

Sana'a: The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has forecast scattered rainfall over parts of the mountainous highlands and the southern and eastern coasts, along with cold to relatively cold weather in the mountainous areas during the next 24 hours.

According to Yemen News Agency, the weather bulletin issued by the center anticipates scattered rain over parts of the mountainous highlands, inland plateaus, southern and eastern coasts, and the adjacent inland areas.

Cold weather is likely during the night and early morning hours in the highlands of Saada, Amran, Sana'a, Dhamar, Al-Bayda, and the highlands of Lahj and Abyan. Conditions may be relatively cold in the highlands of Al-Jawf, Ma'rib, Hadramout, Shabwah, Taiz, Ibb, Raymah, Al-Mahwit, and Hajjah.

Yesterday, scattered rainfall was recorded in parts of Hodeida, Raymah, Dhamar, Al-Dhalea, Shabwah, and Hadramout governorates. The center has urged citizens in areas expected to receive rainfall to exercise caution.

Additionally, drivers on mountainous roads are warned of reduced horizontal visibility due to fog formation. The center also cautioned residents of mountainous areas about the cold weather, especially the elderly, children, the sick, and those working during nighttime and early morning hours.
