General

Sana'a: The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has forecasted cold to very cold weather conditions in the mountain highlands over the next 24 hours.

According to Yemen News Agency, the Center's weather bulletin indicates that nighttime and early morning temperatures in the governorates of Saada, Amran, Sana'a, Dhamar, Al-Bayda, and the highlands of Al-Dhalea, Lahj, Abyan, Ibb, west of Al-Jawf, and south of Ma'rib are expected to be particularly low.

The bulletin suggests an increased likelihood of frost formation in limited areas within these regions, as minimum temperatures are anticipated to drop below the usual averages. Meanwhile, residents in the highlands of Hadramout, Shabwa, Taiz, Raymah, and Al-Mahwit may also experience colder than typical weather.

The Center has issued warnings to citizens in these mountainous regions, emphasizing the need for caution among vulnerable groups, such as the elderly, children, and those with health conditions, as well as workers during the colder nighttime and early morning periods. Additionally, the advisory urges farmers to implement measures to safeguard their crops from potential damage due to the cold, while advising visitors to these areas to take necessary precautions against cold-induced shocks.
