Sana'a: The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning reported that conditions are still favorable for the formation of cumulonimbus cloud cells during the afternoon and evening periods over parts of the western highlands.
According to Yemen News Agency, the center forecast in its weather bulletin rainfall of varying intensity accompanied by thunder over parts of the governorates of Al Mahwit, Amran, Hajjah, Ibb, Taiz, Raymah, Sana'a, Dhamar, and the Tihama plain.
It is also forecast that scattered rain may fall, sometimes accompanied by thunder, over areas of the governorates of Al Dhale'a and Lahj. The center warned citizens in areas expected to receive rainfall of flash floods in valleys and ravines, or being present in their paths or crossing them during and after rainfall, and of thunderstorms, advising against being near electric poles and tall trees.
The center also warned of rockfalls and mudslides on mountain roads, and reduced horizontal visibility on roads and mountain slopes due to rainfall and the formation of fog.
