Hodeida: First Deputy Prime Minister Scholar Mohammed Miftah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Local Administration and Rural Development Mohammed al-Madani, Minister of Education, Higher Education and Scientific Research Hasan al-Sa'adi, and Hodeida governor Abdullah Atifi inspected the progress of educational and training activities at technical institutes in the city of Hodeida.
According to Yemen News Agency, the officials, accompanied by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Local Administration Ammar al-Harib, toured vocational workshops and training facilities. They observed hands-on training programs in carpentry, furniture making, and chair manufacturing.
The delegation received a briefing from Technical Sector Head Hassan Hadish on program implementation and student engagement levels. They visited several classrooms to review the theoretical curricula and their integration with practical applications. The officials commended the organization and discipline observed during their visit.
The delegation, which included deputy heads of the technical sector and directors of technical and vocational institutes, also visited the central furniture and chair workshop. They were briefed on production progress and practical training processes.
Scholar Miftah expressed appreciation for the performance at the institute, acknowledging the educational staff's efforts in equipping youth with skills contributing to sustainable development. He emphasized the government's focus on vocational and technical education as crucial for economic development, highlighting the importance of graduates to the labor market.
Al-Madani stressed the role of vocational institutes in creating job opportunities for youth and the need for continued governmental support. The Minister of Education affirmed the government's commitment to developing vocational institutes and expanding programs to meet market demands.
Governor Atifi praised the government's support for vocational institutes, highlighting efforts in providing necessary equipment and training to achieve developmental goals. Technical sector officials appreciated the visit, viewing it as a sign of genuine support for technical education and its role in youth empowerment.
