Military Retirement Department Commemorates Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday with Cultural Event

Sana'a: The Military Retirement Department in Sana'a organized a cultural and oratorical event today to commemorate the Prophet Muhammad's birthday (1448). During the event, which was attended by the Director of the Retirement Department, Brigadier General Abdullah Al-Kaboudi, the department's Cultural Officer, Colonel Ahmed Al-Hanami, department heads, and staff members, the Deputy Director of the Military Retirement Department, Brigadier General Ahmed Al-Husseini, delivered a speech. He explained that the Prophet's birthday is a significant occasion, deriving its importance from the greatness of the one being celebrated, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).

According to Yemen News Agency, Brigadier General Ahmed Al-Husseini urged everyone to participate and mobilize for the central event on the twelfth of Rabi' al-Awwal to convey a powerful and meaningful message. For his part, cultural activist Jawad Al-Hakimi addressed the significance of this religious occasion, which the Yemeni people celebrate with pride and reverence, drawing great lessons and inspiration from it.

Samir al-Haimi pointed out that celebrating the Prophet's birthday embodies the identity of the Yemeni people and their deep connection to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family). The event included a poem by the poet Ahmed al-Marouni, reflecting the importance and grandeur of the occasion.
