Al-hodeidah: The Minister of Transport and Public Works, Mohammed Qahim, conducted a comprehensive review of the service and field work progress at the Public Works Office in Al-Hodeidah Governorate, focusing on the implementation of assigned tasks.
According to Yemen News Agency, Minister Qahim, who was accompanied by Deputy Governor for Services Affairs Mohammed Halisi, assessed the implementation of service and technical tasks, the mechanism for issuing permits, and the application of construction regulations. He also evaluated efforts to support mat weavers, improve the urban appearance, and enhance oversight of violations. The Director of the Public Works Office, Engineer Mohammed Muthanna, briefed the Minister on supervisory work, achievement indicators, and the action plan for the year 1448 AH. The briefing also covered programs for developing administrative and technical performance, intensifying oversight, protecting urban plans, and ensuring discipline in construction regulations.
Following the visit, Minister Qahim met with the leadership and staff of the Public Works Office to discuss work needs and priorities within the framework of the Government of Change and Construction's program. The meeting highlighted the office's role in supervising infrastructure projects, organizing construction works, and enhancing technical oversight to improve service quality.
Minister Qahim commended the efforts of the office's leadership and staff in executing their tasks, enhancing service quality, and addressing citizens' needs. He emphasized the Ministry's support for developing technical and administrative capacities, strengthening oversight systems, and improving project efficiency in line with development priorities.
