Hajjah: Cultural seminars were organized in the districts of Al-Shaghadira, Bani Qais, and Al-Maghraba in Hajjah Governorate to mark the annual anniversary of the passing of the religious scholar Sayyid Badr al-Din al-Houthi.
According to Yemen News Agency, in Al-Shaghadira District, Deputy Governor Ahmed Al-Akhash reviewed aspects of the life of the late scholar Sayyid Badr al-Din al-Houthi. He highlighted his scientific and intellectual roles, his writings, and his contributions in confronting what he described as intrusive Wahhabi ideas and distorted cultural influences. Al-Akhash also addressed the positions of the late scholar in carrying the concerns of the nation throughout his scholarly journey, noting the hardships he endured due to his steadfast stance. The seminar was attended by local officials, including District Director Mayhoub Sura', General Secretary of the Local Council Ahmed Al-Saqr, and Mobilization Official Ibrahim Sharaf al-Din.
In Bani Qais District, District Director Mohammed Al-Shahari, scholar Ahmed Al-Shamri, and Mobilization Official Saleh Al-Naari emphasized the importance of commemorating this anniversary to benefit from Badr al-Din al-Houthi's life and values. They highlighted his role in confronting the so-called extremist Wahhabi project and presented him as a model of a struggling scholar whose life embodied patience and faith. His intellectual contributions and educational role were noted as influential in confronting injustice and contributing to changes in Yemeni and Islamic society.
In Al-Maghraba District, the seminar focused on the status of Badr al-Din al-Houthi, highlighting key stages of his life, his religious and scholarly biography, and his roles in serving religion and teaching the Holy Quran. It also reviewed his positions in supporting truth and the oppressed, emphasizing the importance of benefiting from this Quranic school as a model for future generations.
