Ministry of Agriculture Destroys Waste from National Vaccination Campaigns

Sana'a: The General Directorate of Animal Health and Veterinary Quarantine in the Livestock Sector of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources has undertaken the destruction of waste materials accumulated from national vaccination campaigns. This initiative included the disposal of various materials used in veterinary surveys and expired medications.

According to Yemen News Agency, the waste materials destroyed were collected from the governorates of Hodeidah, Ibb, Al-Bayda, Sana'a, Al-Jawf, Sa'dah, Al-Mahwit, and Ma'rib. The materials included empty vaccine ampoules, used vaccination needles, and protective equipment. Additionally, expired veterinary medications and laboratory survey samples from the Central Veterinary Laboratory were also part of the disposal process.

This effort is part of the Ministry's responsibility to manage waste from its veterinary activities, ensuring the safe and effective disposal of potentially hazardous materials. The action reflects the Ministry's commitment to maintaining public health and safety standards in the execution of its national vaccination campaigns.
