Sana'a: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomed the ceasefire announcement between the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Republic of India, announced today. According to Yemen News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs considered this announcement an important step toward restoring security and stability to the two neighboring countries. It stressed the need to resolve disputes through peaceful means and respect the principle of good neighborliness. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs praised the efforts made to mediate between Pakistan and India by a number of Arab and Islamic countries. It expressed hope that the coming period would witness concerted efforts aimed at achieving peace in the region, particularly ending the aggression and siege imposed on the Palestinian people by the usurping Zionist entity.
