Moscow: The Moscow Stock Exchange saw a rise on Tuesday as markets anticipated trilateral talks involving Moscow, Kyiv, and Washington aimed at ending the ongoing war in Ukraine and potentially lifting sanctions on dealings with Russia.
According to Yemen News Agency, by 10:58 Moscow time, the ruble-denominated MOEX index increased by 1.76%, reaching 3,002.73 points. Additionally, the dollar-denominated RTS index saw an increase of 1.65%, climbing to 1,174.84 points.
In the currency market, trading data indicated a decline of 0.17% in the Chinese yuan, bringing it to 11.16 rubles. Meanwhile, in the Forex market, the dollar exchange rate experienced a slight decrease of 0.05%, settling at 80.21 rubles, whereas the euro saw an increase of 0.60%, reaching 94.119 rubles.
