Amran: A specialized veterinary training course on animal health and care was concluded in Mudhaykhirah district in Ibb governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, the 20-day course was organized by local authorities, the public mobilization committee, and Mudhaykhirah Cooperative Agricultural Association in coordination with the Agricultural and Fisheries Projects Financing Unit, the agriculture sector, and the Agricultural Cooperative Union branch. The program was implemented by Bunyan Development Foundation through its training academy.
The course trained 15 participants from the district under an animal health program aimed at strengthening veterinary care skills and reducing the spread of infectious and epidemic livestock diseases. Participants received both theoretical and practical training in disease diagnosis, animal nutrition, vaccine preservation, immunization procedures, occupational safety, and the proper use of veterinary medicines. The program also included field visits to livestock grazing areas in several parts of the district.
At the closing ceremony, District Director Maisarah al-Nahari stressed the importance of such programs in supporting the agricultural and livestock sectors and improving the capabilities of local cadres serving farmers and livestock breeders. He noted that livestock development is a key pillar of food security and rural economic improvement, praising supporting and implementing organizations for providing training opportunities that help young people acquire professional skills.
For his part, Bonyan Development Foundation coordinator in the governorate Mansour Ghadir said the course forms part of broader initiatives aimed at supporting agricultural and livestock development and promoting veterinary awareness in rural districts. He affirmed the foundation's commitment to expanding training and qualification programs in agricultural and developmental fields to meet the needs of rural communities and prepare qualified local veterinary cadres.
