Sana'a: Cultural evenings are continuing in Ma'in District of the Capital Secretariat to celebrate the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad's birthday. Residents of several neighborhoods organized the events amid broad official and popular participation.
According to Yemen News Agency, participants said the occasion provides an opportunity to draw lessons from the Prophet's life, renew commitment to his teachings, and uphold values of brotherhood, mercy, solidarity, and charity. Speakers also addressed efforts to distort the occasion and distance Muslims from their Prophet and their faith-based identity, which they described as a source of strength in confronting the enemy.
They called for broad participation in the Mawlid events, including the central celebration to be held on Rabi' al-Awwal 12 at Al-Sabeen Square.
