Muscat Stock Exchange Index Records Slight Increase Amid Decreased Trading Value

Muscat: The Muscat Stock Exchange "30" index closed on Thursday at 5723.50 points, rising by 3.5 points or 0.06 percent compared to the last trading session, which reached 5720.04 points.

According to Yemen News Agency, the trading value reached 27 million, 307 thousand, and 237 Omani riyals, marking a decrease of 36.2 percent compared to the previous trading session, which recorded 42 million, 795 thousand, and 280 Omani riyals. The daily report issued by the Muscat Stock Exchange indicated a slight decrease in market value by 0.025 percent from the last trading day, reaching approximately 31.77 billion Omani riyals.

The report further detailed that the purchase value by non-Omanis in the stock exchange amounted to 2 million and 554 thousand Omani riyals, representing 9.35 percent of the total trading value. In contrast, the sales value by non-Omanis reached 2 million and 663 thousand Omani riyals, or 9.75 percent. This resulted in a net investment decrease by non-Omanis of 109 thousand Omani riyals, or 0.40 percent.
