Sana'a: On this day, October 9, the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression warplanes launched a series of airstrikes targeting citizens, their properties, and infrastructure in various provinces, resulting in martyrs, injuries, and massive destruction.
According to Yemen News Agency, the airstrikes on October 9, 2015, led to the martyrdom of six citizens, with five others injured, as aggression warplanes targeted the Mocha market in Taiz province. Other strikes in Al-Ta'aziyah district resulted in one citizen's death and another's injury. Multiple areas, including Mocha, Dhubab, and Jabal Al-Shabaka, suffered from the onslaught, causing significant damage to homes and public properties.
The aggression extended to the destruction of infrastructure such as the oil pumping station in the Aqab area, Khawlan district, where Engineer Saleh Al-Yazeedi was martyred. In Hodeidah, a strike on the airport gate resulted in the martyrdom of a child and injuries to five others, while multiple airstrikes damaged Al-Thawra General Hospital.
The following years saw continued aggression. On October 9, 2016, airstrikes targeted various areas, causing extensive damage to homes and properties in the Capital Secretariat and Sana'a province. The pattern of destruction persisted into 2017, with significant casualties and damage in Saada province and heavy shelling along the border districts.
The cycle of violence continued with airstrikes near the Red Sea Mills in Hodeida province in 2018, leading to further destruction and instability. In subsequent years, the aggression shifted focus to different regions, with mercenaries shelling areas in Hodeida province and launching airstrikes in Jawf and Marib provinces, causing widespread devastation.
The ongoing conflict has left a lasting impact on the affected regions, with communities grappling with the aftermath of repeated airstrikes and shelling. The annual recurrence of these events serves as a stark reminder of the enduring humanitarian crisis in Yemen.
