Sana'a: The National University in Sana'a held a speech event on Monday to mark the anniversary of the birth of Prophet Muhammad. Dr. Majed Al-Hudhaifi, Director of Educational Institutions at the Higher Education Sector, emphasized the importance of commemorating the Prophet's life and teachings, noting their role in inspiring dignity, faith, cooperation, and commitment to his example.
According to Yemen News Agency, Researcher Yahya Abu Awadha reviewed various aspects of the Prophet's life, character, and struggles during the event. He highlighted the need to draw lessons from the Prophet's example to strengthen a sense of responsibility among Muslims today. Abu Awadha pointed out that honoring the Prophet and following his guidance are essential to restoring the nation's dignity and strength. He also discussed modern efforts aimed at weakening young people's connection to the Prophet by promoting alternative role models through entertainment, art, and sports.
Abu Awadha further stated that confronting such intellectual and cultural influences requires a conscious return to the Quran and reviving the authentic Prophetic biography as a way of life. This includes raising generations to take pride in their identity and follow positive role models.
National University President Dr. Fathi Sharwan remarked that the Prophet's birth marked the beginning of a new era of truth, justice, and good morals. He emphasized the importance of following the Prophet's example of patience, courage, generosity, humility, and compassion. Dr. Sharwan also mentioned that Yemenis remain advocates of peace and supporters of justice, asserting that they will not compromise their religious principles or the rights of the Palestinian people.
