Taiz: The Agricultural Sector and the Agricultural Cooperative Union in Taiz province initiated the distribution of office furniture to district agriculture offices and cooperative associations, with the project valued at 11 million Yemeni riyals.
According to Yemen News Agency, the funding for this initiative is provided by the Agricultural, Fisheries Projects, and Initiatives Financing Unit in the province. The distribution was facilitated in collaboration with the Office of Social Affairs and the Bunyan Development Foundation, illustrating the local authority's dedication to strengthening the agricultural sector and cooperative associations.
Ahmed Al-Masawi, Taiz Governor's Acting Official, highlighted during the inauguration the leadership's commitment to fostering agricultural activities and supporting cooperatives in alignment with government development programs. He pointed out that the focus on agriculture stems from the directives of the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council to enhance this sector in the province.
Al-Masawi also emphasized the importance of training agricultural personnel and cooperative members to effectively contribute to the development of this crucial sector. The event was marked by the presence of Deputy Governor Mohammed Al-Husseini, Mobilization Official Mohammed Al-Khalidi, and Deputy Governor for Development Affairs Abdulwase' Al-Shamsi, who underscored the distribution's role in improving the operational capabilities of agricultural offices and cooperatives.
Furthermore, the province's Agricultural Sector Official, Engineer Abdullah Al-Jundi, remarked that this furniture distribution is an integral part of the province's continuous development efforts, particularly in enhancing the skills of agricultural and cooperative staff. The inauguration was also attended by several dignitaries, including district directors and other key officials, demonstrating a collective commitment to advancing the agricultural infrastructure in Taiz.
