Oil Prices Increase Amid US-Israeli Aggression Against Iran

Sana'a: Oil prices rose on Monday as investors awaited clarity on the course of negotiations between the United States and Iran, amid continued concerns about supply shortages resulting from the US-Israeli aggression against Iran. Brent crude futures climbed 73 cents, or 0.7 percent, to $109.76 a barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures fell 26 cents, or 0.2 percent, to $111.28 a barrel.

According to Yemen News Agency, price movements in Asian trading today were more modest compared to the 11 percent surge for WTI and 8 percent for Brent crude in the previous trading session last Thursday, the largest single-day price increases since 2020. On February 28, the US and Israel launched a new aggression against Iran, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of civilians and targeting schools, hospitals, mosques, and other infrastructure.

In response to the aggression, Iran launched Operation "True Promise 4" against the Zionist entity and American bases in the region.
