Oman’s Trade Balance Surplus Reaches Over 3.8 Billion Omani Riyals

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman's trade balance recorded a surplus of 3.885 billion Omani rials by the end of September 2025, a decrease of 42 percent compared to a surplus of 6.743 billion Omani rials during the same period in 2024. According to Yemen News Agency, preliminary statistics issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information in the Sultanate show that the total value of merchandise exports decreased by 9.1 percent to reach 17.182 billion Omani rials by the end of September 2025, compared to 18.906 billion Omani rials during the same period in 2024. This decline is primarily attributed to a 16.5 percent decrease in Oman's oil and gas exports, which reached OMR 10.913 billion by the end of September 2025, compared to OMR 13.071 billion during the same period in 2024. Conversely, Oman's non-oil merchandise exports grew by 10.3 percent, reaching OMR 5.002 billion by the end of September 2025, compared to OMR 4.534 billion during the same period in 2024. Re-exports also saw a decrease of 2 .6 percent by the end of September 2025, reaching OMR 1.266 billion, compared to OMR 1.300 billion during the same period in 2024. The data indicated that the total value of recorded merchandise imports to the Sultanate of Oman rose to 13 billion and 297 million Omani riyals by the end of September 2025, compared to 12 billion and 163 million Omani riyals during the same period in 2024, registering a growth of 9.3 percent.
